Cycleway Improvements

CYCLEWAY IMPROVEMENTS ON A7 SOUTH OF SELKIRK COMMENCING 6th MARCH

Work to install a  shared cycleway, with a value of £290,000, on the A7 South of Selkirk will take place between Friday 6th March and Tuesday 31st March 2020.

This work will benefit around 6,300 road users, travelling on this route each day by improving safety for cyclists and promoting active travel.

The scheme will be undertaken under continuous single lane closures with temporary traffic lights in place. Temporary  pedestrian walkways will be provided within the lane closures.

This scheme has been planned in consultation with Transport Scotland, Traffic Scotland, the emergency services and Scottish Borders Council.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
