26 February 2020
ESSENTIAL MAINTENANCE ON M80 AUCHENBOWIE HOUSE COMMENCING 26th FEBRUARY
Essential maintenance will take place overnight on the M80 at Auchenbowie House, between 8pm and 6am each night, from Wednesday 26th February till Thursday 19th March 2020.
This scheme, with a value of £69,000, will replace a safety barrier across the Auchenbowie House bridge. A 1.8m parapet will be installed, providing improved safety for vehicles and horse riders.
The work will be undertaken using phased lane closures on the M80 in both directions for one night at the start and end of the works; to allow for temporary edge protection to be assembled on the bridge.
The lane closures are expected to be in place from 8pm on 26th February until 6am on 27th February, and from 8pm on 18th March until 6am on 19th March 2020.
This scheme has been planned in consultation with Transport Scotland, Traffic Scotland, the emergency services, bus operating companies, and Falkirk Council.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
