M80 Southbound at Easterton
2 December 2019
ESSENTIAL NIGHT WORKS ON SOUTHBOUND M80 COMMENCE MONDAY 2ND DECEMBER
Essential maintenance works will take place overnight on the southbound M80 at Easterton from Monday 2nd December until Friday 6th December 2019. The scheme will be carried out between the hours of 8pm and 6am, each night.
To allow this scheme to take place there will be a full closure of the M80 southbound carriageway with a signed diversion route in operation. The northbound carriageway will be unaffected by works and will remain open throughout.
M9 southbound traffic intending to join the M80 southbound will be directed to continue on the M9 and will exit via Junction 7 in an easterly direction. Traffic will then be directed to follow the M876 northbound to Junction 3 (Bowtrees) and return southbound via the M876 then onto M9 at Junction 7 northbound to Junction 8 (M876 WB). Vehicles intending to head west towards Glasgow will continue on the M876 westbound to Junction 5 where the M876 merges with the M80 southbound and the diversion will end.
Local traffic at Pirnhall Roundabout (from the A872 or the A91) intending to travel on the M80 southbound will be directed to take the exit for the M9 southbound and follow the diversion route described above.
