BRIDGE REPAIRS AT M876 JUNCTION 1: 13 JULY – 10 AUGUST

13 July 2020

Transport Scotland and Amey fully recognise the importance of a safe and reliable trunk road network, particularly during the Covid-19 outbreak, and it is vital that essential maintenance works are carried out in order to maintain the integrity and safety of these routes. A number of maintenance projects have been identified as essential and will be prioritised over the coming weeks.

BRIDGE REPAIRS AT M876 JUNCTION 1: 13 JULY – 10 AUGUST

Southbound traffic at M876 Junction1 will be restricted to a single lane from 10:00 until 16:00 Monday to Saturday from 13 July until 10 August. This is to allow operating company Amey to carry out essential repair work on the bridge over Denovan Road below.

Denovan Road will be closed at this location for the duration of these works. A diversion route will be signposted via the B905 and A883 through Denny.

The safety of workers remains a top priority during this essential maintenance project. Physical distancing protocols, in line with Scottish Government guidance, will be in place to ensure all on-site personnel remain safe throughout the duration of the project. Thorough risk assessments will be carried out and cleansing stations will be implemented on site.

Please note that all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable. For the current status of all road schemes please visit our website: http://scottishtrunkroadsse.amey.co.uk/current-works/

This scheme has been planned in consultation with Transport Scotland, Traffic Scotland, Falkirk Council and the emergency services.
