M9 / A84 Craigforth Bridge

9 March 2020

Overnight Maintenance

Essential maintenance will take place overnight on the M9 / A84 Craigforth Bridge from Monday 9th March until Wednesday 18th March 2020, between 8pm and 6am, each night. Work will take place on weekdays only, and the road will operate as normal over weekends.

This scheme, with a value of £48,000, will benefit road users by replacing the bridge expansion joints and resurfacing the carriageway surface, reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.

A full road closure of the A84 Craigforth Bridge is required for this work to take place. A signed diversion will be in operation for pedestrians, cyclists and moped users under the direction of a Traffic Management Operative.

Eastbound traffic will be directed to join the northbound M9 Junction 10. Vehicles will continue on the M9 to take the exit at Junction 11 Kier Roundabout. From here, traffic will take the 5th exit to re-join the southbound M9 and at the Junction 10 southbound off-slip will exit the diversion and return to the eastbound M9.

Westbound traffic will join the M9 at Junction 10 southbound and continue to take the Junction 9 Pirnhall Roundabout exit. At Pirnhall Roundabout traffic will take the 5th exit to re-join the northbound M9, and from here travel to the northbound Junction 10 exit where this diversion ends.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
