Media update – A702/Mauricewood Road Intersection near Penicuik

A spokesperson for Taylor Wimpey East Scotland said: “We have completed our assessment of the works required to deliver a new roundabout to replace the existing T-junction at the A702 and Mauricewood Road intersection near Penicuik.

We can now confirm that we have appointed a new contractor, RJ Macleod, who has the capability to complete the programme as quickly and as safely as possible in a manner that minimises any disruption. A programme to complete the work that is necessary is due to start on Monday 27 August 2018, and we anticipate this should be completed by the end of November 2018.

As the lead developer on the project, we would like to thank the local community for their patience while we resolved this unforeseen issue. We will continue to work hard to make sure these works are progressed as smoothly as possible, and that any further inconvenience is kept to a minimum.”
